About Us
You can view our products at the bottom of this page We are happy to do custom growing as well, if you don't see it below and are interested please contact us!

Although Greener Roots isn't located in Atlanta, our roots here run deep! Our owner's brothers both call Atlanta home as well as his wife's entire family (parents, sisters, cousins). We are excited about you trying our products! We are known in Nashville for producing high quality, clean, flavorful produce.

We are just 240 miles up the road in Nashville, TN. We have two different locations here: an indoor vertical farm and a 10,000 square foot greenhouse. Both use 90% less land and water than conventional farming, resulting in a production that yields 10x more produce per square foot. We are passionate about urban agriculture and believe it is a key component in revolutionizing and expanding access to fresh, hyper local, nutrient dense produce.

Our two facilities combined produce more than 28 tons of nutrient dense produce per year. We grow a wide variety of herbs and leafy greens and are always down for custom growing anything specific you might need your hands on.
Practices
We start our seeds in a common hydroponic media known as rockwool. This is what replaces the soil in our system, and is used to provide an initial structure for the seeds to germinate and establish healthy plant starts. Rockwool is a horticultural growing media made from the natural ingredients Basalt rock and Chalk. These are melted at 1600° C into a lava which is blown into a large spinning chamber, and pulls the lava into fibers similar to cotton candy. Once seeded, they spend time in our specially designed propagation systems that provide the appropriate irrigation, nutrients, and light to grow our starts.

After our seeds are done germinating, they are transferred to propagation systems where they get their first light and nutrients. Then, they are moved to one of our main finishing systems. We use the most advanced LED lightning technology to ensure the proper light recipe for each of our crops. We monitor and adjust the pH and nutrients of the water to be sure all of our produces gets the perfect amount of micro and macro nutrients, which leads to beautiful, consistent, nutrient dense crops.
